TO DAD WITH LOVE - July 30, 2017

Kiki Ebsen

TO DAD WITH LOVE: A Tribute to Buddy Ebsen. Return to the Golden Age of Hollywood as entertainer Kiki Ebsen honors her father, entertainer Buddy Ebsen, in a multimedia show, co-designed by Kiki and her brother, Dustin Ebsen, which highlights the icon's seven-decade career during the best days of stage, film, theatre, and television. From his earliest days as a New York song-and-dance man, Kiki takes the audience back in time as Buddy Ebsen starred in early films such as "Captain January", "Banjo On My Knee" and the "Broadway Melody" movies of 1936 and 1938. In addition Kiki will reflect on his television work in "The Legend of Davy Crockett", "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Barnaby Jones". With heartfelt love from daughter to father, Kiki remembers her dad, singing beloved songs from Buddy's film career, accompanied by premier jazz musicians Jeff Colella (piano), Granville "Danny" Young (bass), and Kendall Kay (drums). VIP Tickets are $50 and include a free glass of wine before the show as well as admission to a personal reception with Kiki following the event. Preferred Seating tickets are $35 and include special seating and admission to the post show reception with Kiki. General Admission tickets are $25 and include the show only.

20th Anniversary Celebration and
Lauch of Five-Year Endowment Campaign:

A big thank you to all those who helped in celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center! The celebration took place on November 8th at the theater and featured the entertainment of Oscar and Grammy award-winning composer, singer and song writer Paul Williams. An amazing evening of music and performance, the celebration highlighted the past twenty years of programs at the center. There was also a special unveiling of an original painting of the historic neoclassical structure of the cultural arts center painted by the artist Dennis Patrick Lewan.

The 20th Anniversary Celebration marked the launch of the Foundation's Five-Year "Light Up the Stage" Endowment Campaign.
